"I added the wellness plan for my..."
I added the wellness plan for my dog, mostly for the usual stuff like shots and checkups, and it’s actually been helpful. Obviously it’s not going to cover every tiny thing, but I’ve gotten enough back that it feels worth keeping. The claims weren’t instant and took a little time, but nothing unreasonable. Overall, I’m happy with it.

I had my claim paid through direct deposit, and overall it was fine. It did take a little longer than I was hoping, especially when you’ve already paid a vet bill and you’re waiting to get reimbursed. That said, the website was easy to use, and the money did show up without any issues. It reminded me that these things don’t always move as fast as you want, but as long as it comes through in the end, that matters too. I’d call it an average experience.

"Worth it for the price"
For what I’m paying, I feel like the coverage is decent. I’m always trying to keep costs reasonable, especially with vet bills being so expensive, so I was glad it actually helped when I needed it. I signed up earlier this week, and overall it went smoothly. I was able to get through the forms on my own without needing to call anyone, and the pet details and plan options were clear enough as I went through them.
The only thing is that after a little while, some of the questions started to feel repetitive. I also didn’t feel totally sure about what was included until I got closer to the end. It wasn’t a bad experience, but I think it could be made a little simpler.

"Reimbursement came out right"
I’ve had to file 2 claims with ASPCA pet insurance so far, and both times the reimbursement was right in line with what I expected from my plan. My premium went up this year, which I kind of expected with how expensive everything is now. It wasn’t a massive increase, but yeah, I definitely noticed it when the bill came through.

I called to ask about it, and I’ll admit I’m usually skeptical of customer service because I’ve been given the runaround plenty of times before. But the person I talked to actually explained it clearly and didn’t make it feel like I had to argue just to get a straight answer.
I’m still giving 5 stars because the claims for my dog have been paid smoothly, and that matters more to me than the premium bump right now. As long as they keep handling claims the way they have been, I’m satisfied.

"The portal could be a lot easier to use"
The insurance itself might be fine, and I’m sure a lot of customers mainly just want things to work when they need them. But the online portal is frustrating. Pages take a while to load, claims info isn’t easy to find, and I had to log back in more than once. For customers trying to quickly check something or manage a claim, it really makes the whole experience more annoying than it needs to be.

"Customer service takes too long"
I really wanted to like ASPCA pet insurance, but dealing with their customer service has been frustrating.
Every time I reached out about my claim, it literally took days to hear back. And when they finally replied, it felt like a generic copy-and-paste message that didn’t really answer my questions.

The coverage itself seems decent, but the slow communication made the whole process way more stressful than it needed to be. For what I’m paying, I expected a lot better.
